The Document Integrity Guard is a robust solution for monitoring the integrity and availability of online documents. Each document is assigned a unique hash, which, along with its associated URLs and aliases, is recorded on a blockchain. The system performs periodic checks to detect any discrepancies, eliminating the need for manual oversight. With flexible URL and alias management, documents can be monitored across multiple locations - even for publications created outside DocRevolution.
The Document Integrity Guard begins by generating a unique cryptographic hash for each document. This hash acts as a digital fingerprint, meaning even the smallest change to a document results in a completely different hash. Each publication automatically receives a unique hash, which, along with the associated URLs and aliases, is registered on the blockchain.
To ensure that documents remain intact, the Document Integrity Guard conducts scheduled automatic checks. During each check, the current version of the document is compared to its original blockchain registration. If a document has been modified or replaced, the system immediately triggers an alert. This creates an immutable and fully transparent audit trail, allowing organizations to prove that a document, including its URL, has remained unchanged since publication.
Documents are often accessible through multiple aliases, such as URLs used in email campaigns, links embedded in websites, documents stored in customer portals. The Document Integrity Guard performs integrity checks on all URLs and aliases, ensuring consistency no matter where your documents are hosted.
